About the Oslo Review Conference

The Oslo Review Conference is a formal diplomatic meeting of the 164 States Parties to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention. It will take place on 25-29 November 2019 at the Clarion Hub Hotel in Oslo, Norway. The conference will be presided over by H.E. Hans Brattskar, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of of Norway in Geneva who was designated President of the Fourth Review Conference at the 2018 Seventeenth Meeting of the States Parties.

The Oslo Review Conference is the chance for the international community to look back at the progress made since the Third Review Conference, held in 2014, and regroup to address the realities of what remains to be done to achieve the aims of the Convention and to best meet the States Parties' 2025 mine-free ambition.

The Oslo Review Conference has the potential of being one of the most important events since the Convention was adopted 22 years ago in Oslo. It also takes place as the Convention commemorates 20 years since its entry into force.
